nada - a perfect chef mex experience in Nashville!

nada in Downtown Nashville was such a wonderful experience it needs it’s own highlight feature! The ambiance, the food, the service - absolutely the best.

nada is the brilliant creation of Chef David Falk's Boca Restaurant Group and is described perfectly as an experience of soulful Latin-inspired small plates. It has been in trendy and popular Downtown Nashville for nearly two years. When you arrive you are greeted by the warm string lights outside over a quaint patio before entering a beautiful restaurant with a perfect ambiance of laidback, upscale, and inviting. A colorful bar with a floor to ceiling tequila display reminds you that you're in need of a cocktail - my favorite, the Chile-Mango Margarita. The bartender, Henry, is a gem and makes a fantastic drink!

In addition to a simply well-done drink menu full of margaritas, cerveza, and vino, local Chef Jonathan Rohland presents an inspired menu that as they say 'escapes the ordinary'.

Tastings

  • Chile-Mango Margarita - el jimador reposado, chili-mango pineapple, fresh lime

  • White Sangria - white wine, cachaca, elderflower, thyme, citrus, peach

  • Queso with chorizo - 4 cheese

  • Crispy Brussels - chipotle honey, pickled shallot, candied ancho pepitas

  • Cumin Roasted Beets - candied ancho pepitas, greek yogurt, pickled shallot, sherry gastrique

  • Baja Fish Tacos - chipotle crema, cabbage

  • Pastor Tacos - salsa verde, onion, grilled pineapple

  • Jalapeño Cornbread - cheddar, sea salt, honey

  • Street Corn - chili Mayo, corona, lime, cilantro

  • Chili relleno- charred jalapeño, shaved onion, lime crema, chorizo, tomato frito

  • Churros with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces

The outstanding fare, delicious drinks, and beautiful decor is all highlighted by the hospitality of the entire staff headed by general manager, Greg Dowling, and truly creates a memorable experience I'd be happy to have every time I'm in Nashville. Don't miss out on this one.
